FAQ for Eggstravaganza

1. Why should I attend Eggstravaganza?
Eggstravaganza is an ideal opportunity for both connection and celebration. It’s not just about fun activities and good food; it’s a chance to connect with other families, meet new people visiting Redeemer for the first time, and be part of a welcoming community. Whether you’re a regular church member or new to Redeemer, this event is a wonderful way to engage with others in a festive, family-friendly environment.

2. What is the sensory friendly hour?
This year we are excited to offer a sensory friendly hour for families with children on the autism spectrum. From 9am-10am, families can enjoy all the same Eggstravaganza fun, but in a calmer environment with reduced noise and crowds. There will also be a map, schedule, and other visual supports to set your child up for success during the event. Additionally, there will be a sensory friendly room that is available during the entire event, from 9am-1pm.

3. What will this event look like?
Imagine a morning filled with joyous activities tailored for all ages. From egg hunts for the little ones to bounce houses, face painting, and a petting zoo, there’s an abundance of fun. Key highlights include a magic show and story time, featuring a balloon artist who will tell a story introducing children to Jesus. Expect tacos, treats, coffee, and snacks, alongside opportunities to connect with the church community.

4. Who is Eggstravaganza geared towards, and should I attend even if I don’t have young children?
The event is primarily geared towards young children, especially for the egg hunts. However, there’s something for everyone, including adults and young adults. It’s a great place for fellowship, connection, and to experience the welcoming spirit of Redeemer. Your presence is valuable for building connections within our community, meeting new visitors, and introducing them to our church community.

5. Should I invite others to Eggstravaganza?
Yes, we strongly encourage you to invite family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors, especially those with young kids. This event is a perfect opportunity to introduce them to the Redeemer church community and share the story of Jesus in a welcoming and joyful setting. Even if you don’t know young families, your participation is valuable—come and welcome new families to Redeemer!

6. Do I need to bring anything for the egg hunt?
Please bring a basket or bag for collecting eggs during the hunts. This helps ensure that all children can fully participate in the fun.

7. Is there an entrance fee or do I need to RSVP?
The event is free to attend. Please do RSVP so that we can better prepare for food and activities.

8. Will there be any accommodations for special needs?
We aim to make Eggstravaganza accessible to everyone. Please contact us in advance with any specific needs or concerns, and we will do our best to accommodate.
